Tired of the shitshow that is the UK housing market right now? Fed up enough that you would ditch a roof and four walls altogether for something a bit more au naturel? Well, for just £150,000 you can now purchase your very own hill on the Cornish coast.

Tregonning Hill sits near the town of Helston and overlooks Mount’s Bay in western Cornwall. But it isn’t just any old hill. As well as 70 acres of hilltop land, the property also includes Bronze Age burial mounds, two Iron Age rounds, a twentieth-century war memorial, a quarry and a hillfort. Pretty cool, eh?

At the summit of the hill, you’ve got ‘incomparable’ views out over miles of surrounding landscape and the nearby coast. The English Channel, Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount are all viewable to the south, whilst the Lizard Peninsula and Land’s End can be seen in the distance. Unsurprisingly, Tregonning Hill is a very popular spot for walkers.

Guy Morse, the estate agent handling the sale, told the Evening Standard: ‘I’ve worked with interesting properties in estate agency in Cornwall for the last 20 years, and this is the only time we’ve ever offered something quite as unique and special as this – a proper Cornish landmark and a hill that can be seen for tens of miles around in every direction.’

So what exactly are you supposed to do with your very own ancient hill? Well, this particular site is protected as a Scheduled Monument, meaning it can’t be built on, though a bunch of possible investors have already shown interest. Conservation charities want to protect it from future developments, whilst others have envisioned it as an alternative healing retreat.

Tregonning Hill is now up for sale with Lillicrap Chilcott estate agents. You can find out more on the official listing here
