Don’t get us wrong, we love city living. The culture, the buzz, the endless things to see and do. But even the biggest city lovers need a tranquil escape to nature from time to time. Nothing says relaxation quite like a countryside getaway, and if it’s got a hot tub too, you’ll be that much more refreshed.

Luckily, the UK is full of rustic log cabins plonked in the middle of a field or forest with a toasty hot tub ready for you to soak in and forget life’s stressors. From spacious chalets to tiny homes, we’ve rounded up the cosiest cabins with a hot tub in the country. So pack your bikini, turn your phone to ‘do not disturb’ and crack open a bottle of bubbly. Trust us, a few days in one of these spa-like hideaways might be just what you need to recharge.

Places to stay with hot tubs

This luxe log cabin comes with all the rustic charm you’d want from this type of getaway, but with a very luxurious tint. There’s a six-person hot tub, sauna, rainfall shower, underfloor heating and a projector for film nights. An indoor sunken whirlpool bath has breathtaking countryside views through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside there’s a BBQ, pizza oven, fire pit and ice machine. There are massages to book and a gym and wellness area with yoga mats to use (included in the price). If that wasn’t enough to satisfy you, there’s plenty to explore in the local area. We recommend checking out the nearby historic town of Wells or touring the Fenny Castle Vineyard. Pssst, you can borrow bikes from the cabin too.

 Location: Wookey, Somerset.

Price: From £499 a night.

Sleeps: Six people.

You’ll have plenty of space to crack open the champagne and host your pals, but the beauty of this log cabin is it’s in a perfect place for activities too. It’s only a 40-minute drive from the Lake District and the Kielder Water and Forest Park is close by, which has England’s largest forest and man-made lake.

The tub is a perfect place to unwind in after exploring the local area, which you can do here aplenty. You’re less than three miles from the beach (Broad Haven and Barafundle Bay), and the town of Pembroke is around the corner.

Location: Maidenwells, Wales.

Price: From £138 per night.

Sleeps: Five people.

Eco-friendly cabin in the Isle of Wight

Located in a meadow next to a forest, this stylish, architect-designed Airbnb is as relaxing as it looks. There’s a living area, roomy kitchen and a ladder that leads you to a cosy sleeping area complete with stunning views of the nature surrounding the site. There’s your own BBQ outside and compost toilets, which are good for the environment. It’s off grid, so there’s no WiFi in the actual cabin allowing you to fully relax. For an additional fee you can add on a wood-fired hot tub, sauna and alfresco shower. Also, it’s only a 10-minute drive to the beach.

The love shack in the Lake District

Trust us, this beautiful rental is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The wood-fired hot tub is incredibly scenic, set on a timber deck amongst lush green trees. If the weather allows, you can follow-up your soak with a BBQ and a lounge in the hammock. From the ground floor, you’ll look out over rolling green woodland, while upstairs offers sweeping views of Lake Windermere. It delivers full countryside bliss without sacrificing luxury: think Japanese-style soaking bath levels of indulgence. It’s an ideal spot for some quality time with your favourite person. And if that’s not enough, the detached garden studio comes stocked with speakers and a vinyl collection.
