Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars
The Isle of Man’s prestigious annual Tourist Trophy motorcycle race is renowned (and revered) for being among the world’s most dangerous motorsports events. A frankly phenomenal 232 deaths have occurred since its inception in 1907, yet every year, professional and amateur riders from across the globe converge on this hilly tax haven to race their highly tuned motorcycles around its 37 miles of narrow, undulating and twisty public roads at speeds in excess of 180mph. Guy Martin is one competitor, a gregarious, funny and likeable free spirit with a barely comprehensible accent who’s been trying to win the TT for years; his colourful presence is the mainstay of this tense, occasionally distressing and often heartstoppingly spectacular 3D documentary. Whether you like motorcycle racing or not, Richard de Aragues’s debut is a must-see evocation of the event’s inherent dangers and the ‘balls to the wall’ bravery (or stupidity) of its adrenaline-seeking, carefree contenders. In the realm of the rousing sports doc, this truly excels.
