Emissary

Emissary is a coffeehouse, bar, and cafe located in Washington DC's historic Dupont Circle neighborhood, just below Dupont Circle Yoga.

We believe in the Swedish notion of "fika" - taking a moment to have coffee, slow down, and contemplate on your own, or to gather with friends, and savor the moment.

Our coffeehouse features selections from Counter Culture, our beer and cocktail menu is local- and mid-atlantic centric, our wine list global. Chef Matthew Whaley's menu is vegetable centric and most items are vegetarian and vegan-friendly - but omnivores need not worry, we'll have rich baked goods, pastries, artisanal cheeses, and charcuterie.
