Whitechapel Bell Foundry
Whitechapel Bell Foundry is recognised as Britain's oldest manufacturing company, having been in the business of bell-making since 1570. It's occupied its current premises on Whitechapel Road since 1670 and continues to proudly make and supply bells and fittings for church towers (it has previously made bells for Westminster Abbey and Liverpool Cathedral) as well as handbells for bell ringers. A range of artifacts and historical biography are on display in the foyer museum.

A totally unique part of our history, its like walking back in time to a bye gone era that sadly, now only exists in books, fantastic building and really nice staff, if you're lucky on a week day you can walk around the corner (they only do tours on a Saturday and are booked months in advance) and see the actul bells being made, but they welcome you in from the street, they have a little musuem and shop, now looking great for Christmas.
