Forget Barb, Eleven's true parentage, why Will's coughing up slugs and what the Upside Down actually is, one of the biggest mysteries from Netflix's hit series 'Stranger Things' has just been explained...

A clever 'Saturday Night Live' spoof, starring the likes of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, has taken on the hugely popular '80s set fantasy series and answered these pressing questions: Why are the kids allowed out at night on their own? And, more importantly, where the hell are Lucas's parents?!

'It was a little oversight on our part, so to nip this one in the bud before the blogs come after us here's a sneak peak at "Stranger Things" season two,' say creators the Duffer Brothers in the skit.

Dustin, Mike and Lucas are heading off in pursuit of the Demogorgon when Lucas's parents, played by Jones and Kenan Thompson, turn up in the forest, mad because they haven't seen him for days and because the boys are cycling around in the dead of night without adult supervision.

Even Eleven, with her mindbending superpowers, is no match for them.

Finally, some real parenting...

'Stranger Things' is available to stream on Netflix.
