London's thirst for black gold shows now signs of slowing down. In fact, every day it feels like a new independent, hip-to-the-max caffeination station opens serving up artisan filters, intricately decorated flat whites and hand-roasted rare beans. Using info from LondonsBestCoffee.com, the brilliant data visualisers at Information is Beautiful have turned their creative focus on to London's hipster coffee scene and produced these two lovely infographics, which break down our coffee shop landscape into names and areas. Had you noticed how many café names were inspired by the Victorian era? Us neither. However, it's no surprise that east London is also packed to the rafters with trendy places to grab a cuppa joe. But which ones should you check out? Aim big – the larger the circle, the more popular the venue.

Thirsty? Check out our favourite coffee shops.
