Drinking can be a costly experience – especially when you’re after craft beers – and it can be even worse if you’re throwing dinner into the equation. So we’ve put together a list of London brewery taprooms that you can bring your own food to. And you know what that means – more money for beer!

Anspach & Hobday

Price of a half pint: £3 each, giving you lots of excuse to try as many as possible.

Opening hours: Fri 5pm-9.30pm, Sat 11am-5.30pm, Sun noon-5pm.

What’s nearby: Maltby Street Market (where you can grab anything from hot dogs to oysters to eat alongside your beer).

Brew By Numbers

Price of a half pint: Technically £2.25, although they only serve two-third tasters, which cost £3.

Opening hours: Fri 6pm-10pm, Sat 10am-6pm.

What’s nearby: Maltby Street Market – perfect for street food (BBNo also serve food in-house).

Brick Brewery

Price of a half pint: Under £2. (They say they try to keep all their pints under £4, so that's plenty of beer for your money!)

Opening hours:Thu 5pm-9pm, Fri 5pm-10pm, Sat noon-10pm.

What’s nearby: It’s a short walk from Peckham’s Rye Lane, so burgers and chicken galore. (They often host food pop-ups, too.)

Brixton Brewery

Price of a half pint: £2.

Opening hours: Sat noon-5pm.

What’s nearby: Pop Brixton is mere metres away, which should cater for all your street food needs. Brixton High Street is also a short walk away.

Camden Town Brewery

Price of a half pint: £2.10.

Opening hours: Tue-Wed 2pm-9pm, Thu-Sat noon-11pm, Sun noon-9pm.

What’s nearby: It’s down the road from Camden Market, so you’ll be spoilt for options. You can also order to the bar, for those too lazy (or drunk) to move.

Canopy Beer Co

Price of a half pint: £2. Although it's cheaper to get a full pint for £3.50. Go on, spoil yourself.

Opening hours: Wed-Fri 5pm-11pm, Sat noon-11pm, Sun noon-10pm.

What’s nearby: Sitting just off the edge of Brockwell Park, there isn’t a huge number of food destinations in the area. Probably best to bring your own.

Clarkshaws

Price of a half pint: £2, or splash out and buy a pint for £3.50.

Opening hours: Sat noon-6pm.

What’s nearby: It’s a short walk from both Pop Brixton and Brixton High Street, for all your food-based needs.

Gipsy Hill Brewing Co

Price of a half pint: £2.

Opening hours: Sat 1pm-6pm.

What’s nearby: It’s close to both Gipsy Hill and West Norwood. They serve snacks onsite, but for something substantial, you may have to go elsewhere.

Southwark Brewing

Price of a half pint: £1.90 for beers under 4.5 percent ABV and £2 for the boozier options (or a speciality cask).

Opening hours: Fri 4pm-8pm, Sat 11am-7pm.

What’s nearby: It’s a short walk from both Borough and Maltby Street Markets, for snack and deli delights.
