So, the night tube. You all know the drill by now – we get some good news (it's finally launching in August!), followed almost immediately by some bad news, usually in the form of a tube strike (or five). So you can guess what's coming, can't you? Yep, there's going to be yet more tube strikes coming your way.

Following the news that the night tube will be launching on August 19, members of the RMT union have backed plans for a walkout of maintenance and engineering staff. The dispute is over pay and pensions for staff employed by Tube Lines, and the strike has been backed by 85 percent of members. But don't panic – the strikes haven't been confirmed just yet. The ballot result will now be considered by RMT's executive, who'll decide whether or not to go ahead. Fingers crossed we're not in for another summer of tube strikes.
