About Thyme is just about one of my favourite little spots in London. Independently run, so small from the outside you could almost miss it. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet! When I lived in Pimlico I would bring friends and family here all the time. It's mid range - so not toooo expensive but also not shabby. The service is top dollar and the food (sort of pan italian-european) is always consistent and tasty.

About Thyme is a sweet little restaurant near Victoria Station, a great one if you need a slightly fancy (but not excessive) romantic or family meal. The staff are friendly and I think it might be family owned. You can call and reserve a table usually. Food is Italian-English and the Jamon is a speciality but menus change day to day. Food is great quality, service and atmosphere are great too.

Amazing little restaurant, great food and a lovely relaxed of not slightly old fashioned atmosphere. Worth a visit for a relaxed meal.

Fronted by a beautiful street-level terrace adorned with gorgeous flowering blooms, About Thyme transports you to another world, far removed from the hustle and bustle of surrounding Pimlico.

We were delighted to be given a table on the ground floor terrace, where we shared the Spanish platter to start (a selection of Spanish meats and cheeses) with a great bottle of Organic Rioja (that I forget the name of now).

I followed with the linguine with Fresh Crab Meat, Garlic, Chilli & Olive Oil. It was completely decadent but delicious. I couldn’t resist the Santiago tart for dessert – thanking the gods for my separate pudding compartment!

The service was fantastic – attentive but not intrusive, and there was a great ambience from the mix of families, couples and suited exec types, all enjoying the great food and atmosphere.

I highly recommend a visit!
