British and American beef combines at this upmarket steakhouse at the Grovesnor House hotel on Park Lane, with USDA-grade filets, New York strips and bone-in Kansas City strips alongside various cuts of Aberdeen angus – including their signature, a 32oz tomahawk rib-eye.
The rest of the menu is classic US steakhouse fare, with a little influence from Blighty. That means burgers, smoked short ribs, lobster cobb salad and crab soup with drop scones alongside poshed-up fish and chips and cheese boards with Lincolnshire poacher and Norbury blue.
The drinks list goes big on bourbon, with a huge range of small batch, single barrel, barrel finished and vintage drops available. The wine list dips into worlds old and new, with 20 available by the glass.
Experts in steak, JW Steakhouse has a host of signature cuts on the menu which are aged and carved in the restaurant. Exclusive to JW Steakhouse is its signature cut, the dramatic 32 ounce on-the-bone rib-eye named ‘the tomahawk’. The very best market cuts will be found on the daily specials board, with highlights including Highland wagyu beef.
Authentic American dishes include Maryland lump crab cakes, hickory smoked short ribs, chopped salad, grilled lobster and jumbo prawns. Sharing sides include creamed spinach, towering onion ring stacks and sweet potato mash with a marshmallow crust. All dishes can be matched with a spectacular wine list that features some of the finest wines from the United States.
A mouthwatering dessert selection completes the menu, with the signature JW cheesecake the stand out dish. The cheesecake and its secret recipe has garnered global recognition as one of the best this side of the Atlantic, with Johnny Depp having dined at JW Steakhouse on more than one occasion citing its reviews as the reason for his visit. It’s a must try!

Worth it ! Great value for money!
Seriously good steak here! And that cheesecake they go on about - worth every single bit of praise. My favourite dessert and this is my favourite version of it. Credit where credit is due!
