1 Love It
This is the south London outpost of the popular Kiwi-run coffee shop in Covent Garden, Bullet. As its name suggests, the beans are roasted in-store and are freshly ground to order. On our visit, a surprisingly saline Mandheling Sumatra coffee was used: almost sea-salty in flavour, with honey and hickory notes and an elegant smokiness. We relished its syrupy texture and creamy mouthfeel. A flat white was served on the right side of hot, but could have been thicker in texture. It also had an intensity that (fortunately) wasn’t completely mellowed out by the milk.

Most friendly staff I have met in my 8 years in London. Great coffie, and nice bacon and sausages making it a regular breakfast for me :). P.s. kiwi v Aussie story a bit silly and hard to believe seeing as half the staff are kiwi and the only Aussie is very friendly!

I go to the Roastery regularly. It’s a small cosy cafe with its own coffee Roaster. It’s not perfect, but the staff are very friendly, and they serve great coffee. Any comments about people being anti-Kiwi are ridicules, their longer serving members of staff are Kiwi. Some people just love to talk about the same old rivalries.

Waited over 20 minutes in an empty cafe for a boiled egg and toast- the egg arrived actually raw. . . wouldn't trust a kitchen that can't even cook a boiled egg. . .
