This popular bar is close to Oval tube, so proves a prime pre-game drinking spot for those heading down to The Oval for a spot of leather on willow.

The beer list is solid, with beers on tap and a fridge full of Black Sheep Ale, Marston's EPA and GMT London Pale Ale, to name but a few. A good selection of wines from the old world and new also feature, as well as a few cocktails.

It's not just about the booze here though, with classic pub grub alongside traditional British dishes - think sausage and mash, fish and chips, homemade burgers and steak and chips. It's worth noting that the food menu might be limited on match days.

Cosy place, but food is indeed overpriced. A glass of "squeezed orangejuice" for breakfast is £3 and turned out to be tropicana. Veggie breakfast comes with veggie sausages made from corn starch, not even soy or Linda McCartney, and is priced £8,50. Also disappointing that there was not enough thought put in not to serve Lurpak with a veggie breakfast. Could have exactly the same in a greasy spoon for a fiver.

Nice laid back atmosphere and a good place to chill and have a drink or a coffee. However the food is overpriced for the quality that is being served. That is not to say that the food is bad just steep for what you are getting and considering the location.
