These days, any art gallery worth its salt must have an ace café attached - and the South London Gallery is no exception. The elegantly converted ground floor of an adjacent Victorian house provides the setting for quality Union coffee, freshly made smoothies, and delicious and reasonably priced food.
A shady bar at the front displays luscious home-baked cakes and a menu of daily-changing, inventive dishes (succulent köfte kebabs with grilled vegetables and couscous; ox heart stew; mackerel, beetroot and new potato salad), while a light-filled atrium gallery opens on to a walled garden and terrace for diners à deux.
No 67 serves easily the best breakfast for miles around, ranging from a massive bowl of thick, creamy porridge to the 'full Spanglish' - grilled mushrooms, fried eggs, grilled chorizo slices, dense, black morcilla and own-made spicy baked beans.

Facilities
Tables outdoors ( 6, terrace; 5, garden ), Babies and children welcome ( high chairs; nappy-changing facilities ), Available for hire, Disabled ( toilet ), Takeaway serviceI've been going there lot, tho the coffee and the service have been going drastically downhill lately. My flat white was nothing more than warm milk with a shot of espresso in it and the barista didn't say a word when handing me the cup.
A great cafe. Good, consistent food and coffee during the day & at night. Two gripes. Some of the staff can be a bit rude. It's a cafe kids, you're not changing the world! And the breakfast menu should switch out, it's been the same for over a year.
Amazing flavours. Unusual ingredients and menus that always give you something to talk about. I feel sorry that I won't get to try every dish as they change the menu so regularly.
oh, and cocktails too. Last week I had a lovely pear with prosecco drink
Good overall cafe. When we first came in the one server was a bit abrupt with us but the server we ended up having was fantastic. She was really friendly and definitely put in a good effort. We all ordered the full Spanglish which was a bit greasy (but to be expected with fried eggs and Chorizo) but delicious. The only problem with the food was that my toast was slightly burned making part un-edible which was a shame. Had a taste of the milkshake which was amazing and next time I will definitely try the cakes as they looked fantastic.
Awesome. Cracking coffee, cracking breakfast (full Spanglish is a revolution) and once you've finished your breakfast/lunch/dinner you can walk round the gallery. I really like this place as it's run by people who carea about what they're doing. Every cake, coffee, drink has been chosen or created with heart. This is what its all a about, a bit of passion in details.
The best! For lunch or brunch it's a lifesaver on the weekend, serving breakfast til 5 on saturdays and 4.30 on sundays. Amazing cakes too. Really nice staff and all the touches that make you comfortable.
For dinner it's also amazing! I'm so glad this exists in Camberwell.
"I've always thought that if the service was bad but the food was good (this works even better the other way around) then the place is OK. Bad service. Very good food. This place is OK."

I've been here a few times now and its delivered on every occasion - breakfast (Spanglish - give it a go), lunch (kofte - smashing) and tea (all the cakes are homemade to perfection). The guys who run it clearly love what they do and it comes through in their inventive and ever changing menu. Recommended.
I came here for dinner last week and it's the best place I've been to south of the river - stuffed sardines for starter with crab on ciabatta, and beautifully tender lamb for main. The two people that run the place are lovely, the decor is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I recently discovered this haven in Peckham after a very long, hot bus ride from hell. The people were amazingly friendly and the cakes on the counter made me want to run kicking and screaming away from weightwatchers! I had a linguini lunch which was literally best I ever tasting and something called eton mess for dessert. I thought I'd died and gone to meringue heaven. I think they wanted to kick me out in the end as I wahs there for about 3 hrs...I'll be back.
