I've recently moved to Highbury and am totally in love with this gorgeous shop/cafe. A fabulous selection of cheeses and other sweet and savoury picnic treats, along with a selection of great wines. It's definitely a place for a special treat rather than a daily purchase due to the prices, but the cheeses are so good that it's worth it. I will be frequenting this lovely place on a regular basis!

A little piece of heaven tucked away in Highbury. I've never seen anything like their cheese room. So many varieties and they are happy for you to try before you buy. You could easily spend a fortune... but for a cheese lover like me it's always worth it!

This shop is the singular thing I miss about my sister living in Highbury. The fromagerie has filled many a stomach in my house and also when I used to housesit for my sister I personally consumed huge amounts of the stuff (the scales lived to tell the tale, just about). Wonderful cheese, great service, free samples if you're friendly to the staff!

Very disappointing. Since I last visited a serving counter has been installed in the cheese section of the shop. This cuts off the customer from the majority of the cheeses and thus takes away the pleasure of being able to peruse the display. Does anyone really want to shop by saying " ... That cheese in the far corner looks lovely, what is it and how much is it?...." The counter also much reduces the space in what is a small shop anyway. More than 2 customers means the front area becomes very crowded and makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. If one person then dithers over their choices, as more people try to crowd in, the wait becomes very discouraging. A couple of other customers I spoke to felt the same. Perhaps the shop was losing money through " shrinkage" and the change is seen as way of controlling this loss but for me, it has removed the joy of shopping there. I won't be going back.

If I want cheese, then this is the place I go, because not only do they do cheese, but they do ALL THE CHEESE. An incredible selection, I'm always happy perusing their fromage choices.

Disappointing price/quality ratio but whatever, they have some interesting cheeses and people are prepared to pay. The most galling thing was being overcharged (they rang my cheese up at £27/kg instead of £23). Not saying it happens all the time, but they weren't at all surprised or apologetic... Even though it is the only high-quality cheese shop nearby I will never, ever be going back. Would give it zero stars if I could.
