Time Out says

A low-key creative market with some delicious street food.

While Broadway Market is clogged with whippet-walkers, busking indie bands and buggies, Netil Market (just a short hop away) is an altogether more sedate affair. Open every day from 11am-6pm, it’s the brainchild of a local creative community based nearby at Netil House that gives space to local designers. As well as a dozen permanent stands – among them a bike mechanic, a coffee roaster, a vintage glasses shop and a florist – there are stalls that move in every Saturday, selling mainly crafts, clothes and trendy homewares.

There are as many good eating opportunities as there are shopping ones. The wildly successful Taiwanese restaurant Bao found its feet in Netil Market and its permanent bao bar has a queue that’s just as permanent. Also worth saving space for are LemLem’s afro-tacos and Victoria Yum’s daily baked treats. There's even some seating for those who prefer not to eat on their feet.

Top tip: Just round the corner you’ll find The Taproom at London Field Brewery, with its enviable selection of craft beers, and the recently launched Mare Street Market. In the summer, though, you can’t beat grabbing some grub and a tinnie and picnicking on London Fields. Alim Kheraj
