© Hammersmith and Fulham Council

One of a pair of Hammersmith and Fulham Council displays (the other is in Ravenscourt Park on Nov 8), this family-friendly display will feature children's fireworks at 7.15pm before the main event – a choreographed display at 8pm. There will be no admittance after the displays have started and no alcohol is allowed, but funfairs and food stalls will keep the atmosphere quite cheerful enough, we're sure.

The fireworks started late, were incredibly boring, with a few climaxes in the middle but many pauses where nothing was going on. There was only one good part and it ended in the biggest anti-climax a firework display has ever provided me, a small ground level spark shower (not the usual grand finale type). I was disappointed with it and will only watch it from home next year.
