The O2 review 2 Users say 4/5 Rate it

Since The O2 opened in 2007, transforming the endlessly floundering Millennium Dome in Greenwich into a multi-entertainment centre, it's relied on the pulling power of one giant superstar after the next. Barbara Streisand, Prince, Tina Turner and Bon Jovi have all pitched up to wring whopping sums of money out of their equally aging fans, while guaranteed crowd-pullers such as Kings Of Leon and Kanye West are enlisted to pack the house with those too late on the bandwagon to have caught these acts in the far more appealing Brixton Academy. Still, The O2's sprawling 20,000 seat arena isn't the only thing to recommend it. The smaller, less attention-grabbing Indigo2 is a good place to catch soulful crooners such as Estelle and Akon, while the centre also houses an 11-screen Vue cinema, the British Music Experience and space for temporary exhibitions such as Dr Gunther von Hagens's 'Body Worlds'.

As the North Greenwich Arena, it will play a major role in London 2012 hosting Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline, Basketball and Wheelchair Basketball. A proposed cable-car link with ExCeL across the Thames remains an exciting possibility.

This site is amazingly well put together and I enjoy navagating my way through it. Very informative and up to date. One area of inprovement would be a calender in bold and bright colours to attract ons attention and that makes it easier to find out whats happening tonight or tomorrow in such a way that makes the user more inclined to find and pland thier outing with just a click.

The O2 is a gr8 place to go but I think the cost of parking is the general issue that prevents people visiting!

It makes life very awkward if, after a show you have been ushered (albeit very politely) downstairs to join the throng only to find there is only ONE public toilet in the WHOLE building with a massive queue. Surely, it's not that difficult to allow access to other areas where public toilets ARE available. There are plenty at various locations if you are coming for a show, upstairs, So why is it not a similar situation downstairs?
Much as I love this venue, more thought ought to to be given to those visiting for reasons other than attending major attractions/shows.

I went on Friday and lives this production. The ads clearly stated that the performance woul be in the round, so I wasn't shocked when I found that I got quite a lot of the casts backs instead of their faces.

As you cansee from the previous comments, the sound was below par buy I shallnt dwell on that at the moment. What I willsay is that Nassif (Carmen) completely embodied the role, the don Jose was amazing and that liz and susan atherton were fab! Special mention has to go to ladner for her portrayal of frasquita: "what's best, he dies!" she sings with flair when finding out her future lover.... A merry widow indeed!!!

Act three opened with en mass chorus with their entrance portraying a cold and distant night. They were always on the money and made the produtiob for me. Google any of their names and you'll see that they are mostly Covent Garden chorus, ROH and glyndeborne choruses: the standard was amazing.

Act four: great spectacle, envolvement in the little stories right round the stage, and then a blank canvas for the death of Carmen....

I'm going again tonight: I wonder what Darius will do with the part which Greenwood coughed and spluttered on during his torreador son on Friday......

At the prices you charge for the so-called spectacular shows and for parking, the place will soon be closed and boarded up and will rot away. Try GIVING something to the community for a change - yes, we know, you are in business - but you can kill 'the golden goose' through greed!
