Thanksgiving for kids is the best time for feasting on turkey, stuffing and cranberry (not to mention checking out the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...see our guide below!). It also means that Christmas for kids and Hanukkah for kids are right around the corner (yippee!) Use this time to prepare for some winter getaways from NYC (these all-inclusive family resorts might help, too). Not into making your own Thanksgiving dinner? Check out our favorite family restaurants in NYC.
When is Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is held on the fourth Thursday in November. This year, Thanksgiving falls on November 24th, 2016.

Macy's Thanksgiving Parade Balloon Inflation
Head to the Upper West Side (beginning at 79th Street and Columbus Avenue near the Museum of Natural History) on Thanksgiving Eve to watch as the balloons for the Turkey Day parade transform from piles of wilted fabric into floating giants for their big trek through midtown.
