"Freak Out"

As suggested by the title, this summer showcase presents an unrestrained riot of works in all media, from performance to painting. Highlights include Ian Cheng's ever-evolving digital sequence, created as an iPhone app; a packing-blanket installation by Koki Tanaka, Japan's rep at this year's Venice Biennale; and canvases ranging from Caleb Considine's study of a young woman, intently surfing the Web, to Genoveva Filipovic's sly toucan.
