Jim Isermann and B. Wurtz

If Isermann's Op Art paintings seem to especially complement Wurtz's funky, junky sculptures and vice versa, it could be because they've known each other since they were CalArts graduate students in 1979, and share a similarly colorful, quirky formalist sensibility.
