"The Path of Nature: French Paintings from the Wheelock Whitney Collection, 1785–1850"

On view are highlights from a group of paintings—predominantly landscapes—that entered the Met's collection in 2003. The works date from a period spanning the end of the French Revolution to the July Monarchy of 1830–48.
