One of the owners of Alphabet City Wine Co. opens the beer-nerd equivalent—a boutique shop boasting 12 draft lines and 350 bottles—on the same block. East Village brew hounds can sip cold drafts or fill their growler from rotating selections like Bronx Pale Ale, Firestone Walker IPA and Brouwerij Hof Ten Dormaal. You can also snack on light bites such as Sigmund pretzels, meat and cheese plates, and sandwiches (including one made with herbed ham and pecorino on sourdough). Like its cozy vino sibling, the spot is decked out with stylish elements like leather chairs, a mirrored chandelier and a 16-foot-long raw-wood communal table.
