It’s across the street from the Empire State Building, but this pub isn’t out to fleece tourists—a loyal (and local) clientele that favors three-buck Miller Genuine Drafts is proof of that. The site has housed a bar for more than a century, and the marble urinals and 140-year-old Tiffany glass wall were salvaged from the original Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Not that there isn’t something to lure the occasional out-of-towner: a collection of 1,600 signed baseballs, including one from Joe DiMaggio.

This Irish pub and restaurant has become my pregame favorite for any MSG events.  It is the perfect distance as it does not attract the MSG crowd, but is still only a few blocks away.  There are decent choices of both draft and bottled beer to get your game on.  They have basic bar food, but everything I have eaten is decent.  Unlike most Irish pubs, and bars in general, they have an amazing sports collection all over the bar.  Super bowl rings, signed baseballs, classic bobble-head dolls, uniforms, celebrity autographs, and more.  A sports enthusiast could easily get lost in the amount of memorabilia under one roof.  It's also home to the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame.

Still the best authentic sports bar in the City. Been coming here since it opened. Bring family from Scotland and Canada when they are in town and we've never been disappointed. It has a true neighborhood pub feeling. No prefab Irish pub this.
