There’s a lot going on here—billiards, food, big-screen TVs and incredibly loud deejayed music. The open space is beautifully designed, but on Friday and Saturday nights, the supermixed crowd manages to fill it to overflowing. Cue up at one of the 33 pool tables and swig your drink between shots—you’ll probably play better.

I went there last weekend and I had a great time! They had good music and a very nice crowd. I booked the party through Indi at Joonbug. He cut the line for me and my friends and got us into the club right away :) thanks to him I didnt spend any money (he got us tons of free drinks!!). I asked him how could I thank him, so he told me to pass his name to more people! He works at the best venues every weekend, and u can find him on FB: Indi Romero

OMG had such an amazing night out with my girls.  Slate is definitely a place to go if you love to dance.  If you want to avoid paying cover or waiting in line all night, I highly recommend getting in touch with a promoter.  Our promoters name was Indi Romero he was amazing, he hooked us up with a VIP table and free drinks all night.  You can get in touch with him through his facebook or the Joonbug website.

TERRIBLE experience here for New Year's Eve 2014. Mandatory $5 coat check lost my coat, despite having my ticket at the end of the night. I was forced to leave the bar at 3am in 15 degree weather without a coat. I was asked to come back the next day only to find they were closed... Convenient! I met with the manager, Kile, on 2 separate occasions to work something out. This man calls himself a "manager" but he was arguably the most unprofessional person I've ever had a conversation with in my life. He finally agreed to buy the missing coat for me which later proved just to be a lie in order to avoid the situation any further. I refused to go back a 3rd time to deal with this "manager" so I contacted the owner directly instead. Regardless, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS BAR. Way over their 1200 person capacity at NYE. Only come here if you want your coat stolen!!!
