Behind the sparkling crystal curtain is a vast, high-ceilinged room with dramatic South Asian decor. At night, the restaurant Taj morphs into a red-rope club with a no-sneakers dress code that attracts Upper East Siders who haven’t yet discovered the next trendy hangout. Expect to share the dramatically lit dance floor with well-groomed chicks in trashy tops grooving to live drummers and Prince-ly Top 40 faves.

I went to Taj II last weekend and I had a great time! They had good music and a very nice crowd :) This place had HUGE line, but luckily I booked the party through Indi at Joonbug. He cut the line for me and my friends and got us into the club right away :) thanks to him I didnt spend any money (he got us tons of free drinks!!). I asked him how could I thank him, so he told me to pass his name to more people! He works at the best venues every weekend, and u can find him on FB: Indi Romero
I went to Taj with some girlfriends for a night out after a late night at work on Friday, and it was a blast! I wasnt planning on going out but one of my friends said she knew a promoter, so we called him and he got us some really great deals on drinks. It was a really fun time especially after a crazy day at work. If you want to go out, I suggest hitting this guy up. Indi Romero from joonbug. Look him up on facebook or call him at 212-255-4223!
Taj is a great place to go for drinks with friends. I was there last Friday with a group of girls and we had a blast. My friend hooked us up with a promoter, Indi Romero, and he got us a table and free drinks all night! I definitely plan on going back to Taj and staying in touch with the promoter. If anyone is interested, you can find his contact info on Joonbug.com or Facebook!
