In the perplexing Bermuda Triangle of Wall Street, it can seem as if no fun is to be had. Not so: Business types and locals alike unwind over 20-ounce pints of Bass and oysters at Ulysses. The enormous Irish tavern eschews the usual Guinness-and-shamrock shtick with a vast selection of specialty beers, and snug nooks along the 130-foot oblong-shaped bar where you can better get to know your favorite coworker.

I've been here twice for happy hours after work. This bar has one entrance on Stone Street, which makes it ideal to visit during warm weather. Ulysses is most crowded between 6-8, when everyone comes from work. I'd say the clientele is mostly work groups huddled together. Don't expect easy navigation through the bar. The drink choices here are pretty expansive. I stuck to on-tap beers. Towards 9, they either turn music on, or it starts to quiet down so the music is actually audible.

It's not that it got crowded, but rather it just wasn't as happening as right after work. As the evening wore on, my  colleagues and I were able to snag a table outside (SCORE!). Was so nice to sit out on stone street, and made me excited for the summer ahead
