Avengers: Age of Ultron; opens in theaters
The Marvelverse expands yet further, in the summer’s first blockbuster.

He's back with a new LP, What For?, and headlines midtown megalith Terminal 5. L.A. producer Vinyl Williams, who released a collaborative audio-visual EP with Bundick titled Trance Zen Dental Spa in December, opens.

It's finally here! The new and improved Whitney home in MePa that's supposed to finally put to rest the museum's rep as the also-ran of New York's major art institutions.

Here, electronic-music rabble-rouser and Crosstown Rebels honcho Damian Lazarus perform a last-minute solo DJ set at Verboten's first anniversary.

Bob's Bur(gers)-lesque!; Coney Island, Brooklyn, 10pm. $15.
Okay, we know there's not much sexy about Bob's Burgers (other than Tina, of course). But at this comedic performance as part of Sideshows by the Seashore, that's kind of the point. 

Jamie Isenstein, “Para Drama”Andrew Kreps Gallery, Chelsea, 10am. Free. 
Isenstein's surreal sculpture performance combinations resemble something out of a Cocteau film. She goes full-out Halloween in this haunted-house installation.

Free Comic Book Day; Various locations, 10am. Free. 
This year, Bergen Street Comics hosts a Superman-themed comic book event where you can nab the superhero's classic stories completely gratis from various NYC shops.

Independent Bookstore Day; Various locations, Free. 
McNally Jackson Books celebrates by hosting an epic Langston Hughes marathon reading, Greenlight Bookstore in Fort Greene welcomes authors for an in-store photo booth and many more fun activities are scheduled throughout the city.

Choice Streets Food Truck EventsIntrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Hell's Kitchen, 7pm. $55-$85.
Feast on fare from 20 food trucks, plus booze, entertainment and a trip aboard the Intrepid.

Gregory Charles: Vintage Live!; Le Qube, West Village, 8pm. $49–$69, VIP $149.
The prodigious Gregory Charles has made a big name for himself in his native Canada with his showmanship and unusually large repertoire (more than 14,000 songs, by his count), which lets him and his band build whole shows on the fly, out of requests from the audience.

Antique and vintage lovers, rejoice! This hipster hang is back in action every Saturday and Sunday at Fort Greene and Williamsburg locations through November.

From Star Wars to Star Trek, the Nerdist Industries CEO plumbs the depths of his equally nerdy fans.

TD Five Boro Bike Tour; Location TBA, registration sold out, free to watch.
This 32,000-strong tour spans all the boroughs and five bridges, over the course of 40 automobile-free miles, courtesy of a partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation. It's sold out, but you can still watch the spectacle, or plan ahead to keep out of the way of these excited cyclists.

New York Hot Jazz FestivalThe Players Club, Gramercy, 12pm. $70, half-day pass $40.
Put on your vintage best for this who's who of swing, hot-jazz and stride-piano specialists—including Wycliffe Gordon & Friends, the Hot Sardines, Andy Farber's After Midnight Orchestra and many more.

Drunken Shakespeare310 Lounge, Downtown, 7:30pm. Free.
Want to see if you can recite Hamlet’s “To be, or not to be” after a few brews? Step up to the mike, or just sit back and soak in the iambs.

Tonight's chosen long-player—presented by Ron Like Hell—is the Smiths' second album, Meat is Murder, just in time for its 30th anniversary.

Spring is in the air! Travel through NYC landmarks in a seasonal performance starring the Rockettes and featuring celebs like Broadway's Laura Benanti for their last performances of the season, happening tonight.

This revered European—always a welcome addition to the Joyce's season—group presents three works by William Forsythe, Benjamin Millepied and Emanuel Gat.
