It’s officially summer in the city now that all the outdoor public swimming pools have opened! Starting today, the city’s free public swimming pools will be open from 11am to 7pm (with a cleaning break between 3 and 4pm). You can forget trekking to New York beaches—there are a total of 56 pools across all five boroughs, and they’ll stay open until Labor Day.
