How to kill it at the Balmain x H&M debut sale

Olivier Rousteing’s luxurious Balmain x H&M collection, comprising hand-beaded dresses for women and faux-leather jackets for men, is giving every fashion-lover major palpitations. We’re getting close to the line’s November 5 release date, so if you haven’t started planning your shopping strategy, what the hell are you waiting for? Be warned: Prices for this collab are much steeper than the previous Alexander Wang line, ranging from $35 for a Balmain tee to $649 for the brand’s most expensive dress.

But that won’t stop New Yorkers from lining up at the crack of dawn to covet the lust-worthy styles. We asked H&M how to prepare for the madness and found out that the collection will be available at 11 outposts in the city, including both Soho stores and the shop at Columbus Circle, but excludes the 125th Street location. Doors open at 8am, but we recommend getting in line at the Herald Square storefront—it’s the largest in the city and will likely house the most loot—at 5am. Shoppers can only purchase two of the same style at a time, which means you can’t buy in bulk for your besties.

Here is the list of all the H&M locations in NYC that will be selling the Balmain x H&M line:
