Love is all around us! At least when it comes to fiction. (*sad trombone*)

New York City has served as a backdrop for countless literary love stories from the romantic parks of Manhattan to the colorful streets of Cobble Hill.

In honor of Valentine's Day, the New York Public Library's book experts have released a map of some of their favorite romantic scenes that have taken place in the city. From the obvious like The Great Gatsby to lesser-known works like When Tito Loved Clara, the collection of swoon-worthy reads could help you discover your next great read. Check out the interactive map here.

And always remember, book lovers never go to bed alone.
