First impression
Constantine: “She’s very pretty—big blue eyes, fit body. That being said, she seemed a little rigid from the get-go. She wasn’t bubbly and was kind of uptight and serious.”
Allison: “I got there first, and I knew it was him when he came in, because he looked a little flustered and nervous. He was dressed very nicely but wasn’t my type.”
Chemistry
Constantine: “She started grilling me with questions, like I was being interviewed—stuff that wasn’t really cool for me, like politics. I don’t think that should be brought up on a first date.”
Allison: “We didn’t have much in common. I asked a lot of questions. He stopped me, saying he didn’t want a one-way conversation. He didn’t fill the silence.”
Afterward
Constantine: “She was waking up for yoga at 9 and was like, ‘Have a good night.’ She’d made up her mind. It was almost like she went into it looking for it not to work.”
Allison: “We just said goodbye outside and went our separate ways. He asked me if I wanted to exchange details, and I said no. I didn’t see any reason why we should.”
Awkward Moment
Constantine: “She asked me my favorite movie, and I said The Godfather. She said hers is Independence Day. I couldn’t believe it. I was like, Am I getting punked right now?”
Allison: “He asked midway through how I thought the date was going. I said, ‘I think you’re a very nice guy, but I don’t think there’s any chemistry.’ He looked a little shot down.”
Verdict
Constantine: “She’s attractive but way too serious. She’s got strong opinions, and that can be good, but it was a little too much in this instance. Lighten up.”
Allison: “He’s a really nice guy. He’s just not compatible with me. He wasn’t outgoing. I think he was really nervous and unsure of himself.”
