Party in two new bubbles on New York’s highest rooftop bar

Here’s your opportunity to take “living in a bubble” to the next level: Bar 54 at the Hyatt Times Square has installed two new bubbles/igloos on their rooftop terrace, which is one of the highest in New York (54 stands for the 54th Floor.)

So while the rest of the world is getting claustrophobic in their apartments with clanging radiators while it’s 10 degrees outside, you and your posse can be cozily ensconced in your own little party bubble, drinking $26 cocktails and noshing on small plates while wrapped in a blanket.

Yup, #bubblelife. Whether you're in Bubble East or West (not to be confused with East Egg and West Egg), you'll enjoy views of the Chrysler Building, all of lower Manhattan and Times Square.

The bubbles have a two-drink minimum and are open every evening this winter (unless it’s looking a bit extreme out there—you don’t want your bubble of friends flying off the terrace, because that would be bad.) The Hyatt folks recommend you make advance reservations, and yes, there are still some available. You can even privately book Bubble West for up to 10 people. It’s a perfect reason to get your favorite germaphobes together. Oh wait, maybe they'll want a bubble to themselves. Never mind. You can make a reservation at 646-364-1234, and the bubbles open at 4pm.

If you feel like making this bubble thing a full-on lifestyle this winter (cue: "Tiny Bubbles"), don’t forget 230 Fifth also has three rooftop igloos (They're available first-come, first-served, and fit up to eight.)
