Spring is finally showing its true self, warming the city around us and throwing everything into sudden bloom—which immediately means all we can think about is SUMMER! There are so many hot, sweaty days turned into long, sweaty nights in our future, and it's time to start planning out those Summer Friday getaways so we can make the most of this sunny season. We rounded up six of the best adult summer camps around New York City (after shining a spotlight on boozy throwback Camp No Counselors last week) so you can escape all this pavement without wandering too far from home. Whether you're a yogi, a nudist or a party animal, there's a summer camp just waiting for you to bunk up.

RECOMMENDED: Full guide to things to do in the summer in NYC

For the children of summer:
Club Getaway, Kent, CT
Head to the Berkshires to enjoy 300 acres of summer-filled fun. Whether you want to water ski till you can't walk, become a sailing pro or dance all night, Club Getaway's got you. There's even themed weekends for adventure seekers, the LGBT community, baby boomers and Jewish professionals. Don't fall into one of those categories? Weekend camp dates run all summer long.

For the queer exhibitionist:
The Woods, Lehighton, PA
Let it all hang out at this members-only, and clothes-optional, LGBT camp. There's the regular camp activities like volleyball, paddle-boating on a 5-acre lake and hiking, but there's some fancy amenities thrown in as well. Get everything you need from the camp store, hop in the steaming hot tub or pool, and jam out on the dance floor with live DJs. You can also partake in the special themed weekends, like Virgin Weekend, Bears at the Woods and Motorcycle Leather.

For The Walking Dead superfan:
Zombie Survival Camp, Whiting, NJ
If you're sick of wondering why all the idiots around you aren't preparing for the imminent zombie uprising, you'll find your people here. Learn how to create shelter, use a crossbow, shoot a gun and be a team leader at Zombie Survival Camp. Hell no you won't be the first one to die in the horror movie!

For the nostalgia-thirsty partier:
Camp No Counselors
, Albany, NY
This all-inclusive camp (that's right, your lodging, transportation and booze is all included) wants you to drink up as you relive the heyday of your youth. Share co-ed dorms, make friendship bracelets and go to battle during color wars before you indulge in nightly theme parties. Don't you dare let your hangover interfere with your good time.

For the glamper:
Shelter Co., NY
Camping just isn't your thing, we get it. But is a 15-foot wide canvas tent with 400 thread count bedding and an outdoor movie theater your thing? Shelter Co. has all the luxury you need (for a heftier price) including wine tasting, nature tours, cooking services and even organic toiletries.

For the introspective soul:
Soul Camp, Honesdale, PA
Camp Towanda, Soul Camp's East Coast locale, is the location where Wet Hot American Summer was shot, so that's pretty much all you need to know. You'll partake in yoga, meditation, breathing exercises and arts and crafts for a true weekend away from it all on 235 scenic acres. Astrology fans welcome.
