Dating apps—we all use them. At least, those of us who are currently single and spend their evening watching Netflix while crying into a burrito to numb the loneliness. We don't have to tell you how hard it is to fly solo in New York. (Actually, we'll give you 33 reasons why being single in New York sucks.) But when your romantic life reaches a major dry spell, logging into Tinder, OKCupid, Bumble—whatever database you fancy—seems pretty damn appealing. The cost? Nada—expect for a few outrageous messages from potential matches that either make your skin crawl or make you LOL so hard, you have to screen shot the message and send it to all your friends. Oh yeah, we've been there.
