The new Adele single is as cry-worthy as ever

Hopeless romantics out there, listen up! Singer-songwriter Adele returned a couple weeks ago with her first single in three years, the heart-wrenching "Hello" and just as you'd expect from the platinum-scoring, Grammy-winning artist, the music video ranked up a mega-abundance of views: 27 million in one day, in fact (a VEVO record).

Today, she dropped the second single "When We Were Young" from her upcoming "make-up" record, which she performs below, live. While not as much of a stomach-belter as "Hello," the more restrained tune's still the tear-jerky affair we're used to, chockfull of nostalgic notes to lost loves. You can thank co-producer Tobias Jesso Jr. for the new lush stylings (who released one of our favorite albums of the year so far).

After some time away from the studio and stage, the singer's recently been getting back to business. She'll be playing New York’s Radio City Music Hall on November 17th, which NBC will record and broadcast on December 14th, and in an interview she hinted at more planned concert dates: “I will definitely be doing U.S. shows at least as many as I did last time… which wasn’t that many so don’t get too excited!" Not to mention she’ll be performing both Saturday Night Live on November 21st and NBC’s Today show on November 25th.
