UberCHEF will deliver gourmet chefs to your Hampton getaway
What happens when everyone’s favorite on-call driving service teams up with talented, on-call gourmet chefs? An extravagant dinner party for you and your closest friends happens—at the touch of your fingertips, no less.
For all you hungry Hamptonites, looks like Uber and KitchenSurfing have partnered up to feed you (and 6 to 16 friends) a four-course meal for only $35 per guest. This new and short-term service coined, UberCHEF, lasts for one day only—so cancel your Saturday lunch/dinner reservation now, because Uber is bringing the gourmet meal to your Hampton getaway.
Booking a chef is as easy as scheduling an Uber cab. Just open the app and request the CHEF option, pick a time slot (11:30am-2pm for lunch or 5pm-7:30pm for dinner), then rally up your best pals for a stress-free, summer barbeque.
You must be between Southampton and Bridgehampton or East Hampton and Montauk on Saturday, August 9th for a taste of this action. Just bear this in mind before you start salivating over the example menu (1 of 10 options) below.
Uber says, "Chef, Dante Giannini will prepare a flash grilled Ahi tuna (mint pistachio pesto, fennel & micro lettuces, house made lavender sea salt) with a toasted wheat berry salad (torn basil, summer squash, pecans, tomato emulsion), marinated baby beets (local goat cheese, leeks, crispy shallot, citrus vinaigrette) and a farm stand berry compote (vanilla ice cream) for dessert."
