A Valentine to Middlemarch

My Life in Middlemarch, the new volume from New Yorker staffer Rebecca Mead, delves into the book she's returned to many times since her first reading at the age of 17. Her thoughtful (re)consideration of George Eliot's novel speaks not only of literary love, but of how artwork can help us understand change in our own lives. She'll be joined onstage by Kathryn Schulz (New York magazine) and moderator Michele Filgate of Community Bookstore.
