Ruth Ozeki: A Tale for the Time Being

The latest from Buddhist priest and American Book Award winner Ozeki follows two plotlines: that of a young Japanese girl's diary entries just before the 2011 tsunami, and that of a writer called Ruth, who happens upon the journal after the disaster. Friendly, compelling and occasionally touching, Ozeki's prose proves itself yet again.
