If you've yet to witness the Brooklyn Youth Chorus in action, there's one key thing to keep in mind: Apart from indicating the ensemble members' tender ages, the term youth does not denote inexperience, but rather exuberance and a tireless hunger for exploration. For this concert, this consistently fine group will present new work commissioned from singer-composer standout Julianna Barwick (pictured), who will also join the BYC for selections from her fine album Nepenthe. The program also includes BYC-commissioned pieces by Caroline Shaw, Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly and Missy Mazzoli.
