Just a few weeks ago, poetic pianist Jonathan Biss devoted a major portion of a Zankel Hall recital to music by Schumann. On Apr 2, he'll play that composer's Piano Quartet in E-flat with the Elias String Quartet. The program also includes Mozart's Piano Quartet in E-flat (K. 493), Janacek's String Quartet No. 2 ("Intimate Letters") and the New York premiere of Timothy Andres's Piano Quintet. Biss and the Elias players return on Apr 10 for Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 13, Janacek's Concertino and Schumann's Piano Quintet in E-flat.
