A recently launched series of concerts happening once a month in spring and fall, Music for Contemplation offers a broad span of ancient and contemporary pieces meant to prompt consideration not only of the music and its makers, but of the space—a grand cathedral—and its natural ambience. The Sept 6 concert brings together a range of percussionists and string players for a performance of New York–based composer Andrew Lafkas's Two Paths with Active Shadows Under Three Moons and Surveillance.
