Was it the onstage performers, which included Michael T. & the Vanities, This Ambitious Orchestra, Starbolt 9, Hussle Club, burlesque beauty the Flying Fox and emcee Chi Chi Valenti? Maybe it was the night’s producers: Shien Lee, Twig the Wonderkid, Benjamin Ickies and (pulling double duty) Michael T. Or was it the crowd, which featured a few people who possibly outdid the original New Romantics themselves?
