We're not sure if there actually were 1,000 gowns at the Imperial Court of New York's annual fund-raising extravaganza, Night of 1000 Gowns—but there sure were a lot of ’em, and plenty of outlandish hats, boas, tiaras, spike heels and…well, we're not quite what some of those accessories were, really. Whatever the case, the evening—presided over by the Court's Emperor XX Vanity Society Empress XXV Pepperica Swirl, and featuring the talents of Lisa Lampanelli, Amra-Faye Wright and the cast of Chicago, DJ Dynell and others—not only brought out the glitter, but raised oodles of cash for Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays of New York City (PFLAG NYC) and New Alternatives for LGBT Homeless Youth. Well done, everyone!
