You can always count on Bossa Nova for a good night out, entertaining crowd and wild experience. Located in the heart of Bushwick, Bossa is a non-pretentious nightclub with a poppin' dance floor and backroom lounge. The drinks here are decent ($8-10 a pop) and the bartenders pour with a heavy hand.
Do beware that it can get crowded on weekends, and if you're acting obnoxious, their bouncers will prevent you from entering.
Hands down my favorite bar/club/venue in NYC. It's always no cover Sundays-Thursdays, as well as Fridays-Saturdays before midnight—so you can get your weekday or weekend dose of great music and company for close to $0. Bartenders and staff are always super friendly and inviting.
