Faso and Free Magic’s Discovery bash teams up with one of our favorite West Coast labels: Amanda Brown’s wondrous 100% Silk. Representing the L.A. imprint are Octo Octa, laying down his blend of early-house bliss and postdubstep adventurism; his fellow synthesist Policy, a man with a knack for seamlessly blending about a dozen influences at once; the Discovery label’s own Catamaran, whose recent Gymnasium EP is a nice slice of moonlit disco; and Alex Burkat, a talented producer who’s also released music on the Mister Saturday Night imprint.
