James Blake + FaltyDL

The 24-year-old Brit James Blake recently followed up his 2011 self-titled debut—imbued with a spare, dubstep-wobbled falsetto soul—with Overgrown, an album that takes the template and fills in its empty spaces with luxurious (albeit still pretty subdued) sonic filigree. Opener FaltyDL is a producer who explores the full range of possibilities dance music has to offer; his recent Hardcourage LP, released on Ninja Tune, combines old-school toughness with doses of delicacy, emotion and experimentalism.
