Northside Festival: Ladyhawke (DJ set) + French Horn Rebellion + Flying Horse (DJ set)

The night features a deck session from Ladyhawke, New Zealand's peripatetic Phillipa Brown. Judging from last year's Anxiety LP, the erstwhile electropop doyenne has ditched her love affair with synths for the fuzzier charms of the six-string; how that will impact her decksmithery is anybody's guest. Disco-house duo Flying Horse also spins a few tunes, while Brooklyn’s French Horn Rebellion—heavy on the perky synth-pop, but sadly light on actual French horns—performs live.
