Surrealist Burlesque: The Dada Ball

Marking its fifth anniversary at Coney Island, Dr. Lucky's burly-Q venture returns with an all-star installment. Hosted by fabled compere Armitage Shanks, the night features contributions from Peekaboo Pointe, "vocal cartoonist" Zero Boy, Gin Minsky, Dangrrr Doll, Nyx Nocturne, Varsity Dance Squad, Melody Jane, Dottie Riot, the doctor herself and special guest Dirty Martini, with Bambi the Mermaid chipping in with a show-specific art installation. Suggested dress: "masquerade ball (’10s–’30s), high dandyism, Bowery realness, fairies and sprites, and sepia-toned surrealism."
