A not-for-profit institution founded in 1820, the Center for Fiction has the sole aim to encourage the reading, appreciation and creation of fiction among the general public. The Center hosts a variety of creative programs, ranging from readings and book parties with authors like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Eugene Marten to ten-week writing classes with award-winning authors; its opulent reading room and large collection of books welcome everyone from casual readers to full-on bibliophiles.
